Wombat Forest VIC: The site is currently covered by forest and provides habitat for a range of native fauna. All native vegetation will be totally destroyed, as well as a large number of Wombat burrows that also occur on the site, and we presume along with the Wombats that reside in them.

Goongerah Wombat Orphanage Facebook. Goongerah  Wombat Orphanage is a not for profit organisation that aims to care for wombats. Goongerah is nestled between mountains in Far East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. This remote town is amongst national parks and rainforests, being home to many species of Australian wildlife.
WILDABOUT WILDLIFE Rescue Centre KILMORE * VICTORIA Wildabout Wildlife Rescue Centre, located approximately 4 km north of Kilmore, was founded in 2009 by Lisa and Duane Milligan in the immediate aftermath of the Black Saturday bushfires. During the time of the bushfires the centre served as a triage, treatment and rehabilitation centre for wildlife injured during the fires; taking into care koalas, kangaroos, possums, birds and even domestic pets. To this date the centre continues to provide shelter to injured and orphaned wildlife of all shapes and sizes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
